We live in a world where self indulgence, pleasure, comfort and immediate gratification seem to reign supreme. Hedonism, or the doctrine that pleasure or happiness is the sole or chief good in life, defines and directs our culture, our decisions and our lives. It seems so counter intuitive to deny ourselves but maybe there is benefit at times to say, “No”.
