November 19th Cornwall will be sending out a team of six individuals to Haiti. Check this page regularly to follow the team on their journey and hear the life changing stores. All of their updates will be posted on this page!

Friday November 20: The team has made it safely to New York City late last night. They had a layover and took off for Port Au Prince at 6am our time, 9am New York time this morning!

Friday Nov. 20 - Evening: The team has made it safely to Haiti, were successful picking up their rental car, and are headed over to Sam's. They spent the afternoon with the kids, as well as spent time doing devotions reflecting on God's amazing love and grace. Two members about fell asleep, so they called it a night. A few other members went for a movie night and to their surprise the kids were singing english praise songs!! What a joy it was. Two members started clapping to the worship songs, and this kids looked at them like they were crazy, continuing on with their singing...oh well, they tried!! Tomorrow they are headed to Kaliko.

Sunday November 22 - Evening: The team is doing great and has been getting good sleep while away from home. Everyday God has shown His sovereignty.  Saturday they arrived in Kaliko. Their plan was to wait until Sunday to see Marantha, but they couldn’t wait any longer. They checked into the hotel and left for Marantha shortly after. It was hard to put into words the warm reaction they received from the children when they pulled up. The rest of Saturday they spent doing nothing but loving on the children, laughing, smiling, hugging and holding them. Esther, the director, and Pastor Roger are doing well, and are always a blessing to see! The team headed to church where the congregation was eagerly awaiting “Pastor Bob” to preach. Many of the surrounding pastors made the trip. The highlight was watching Bob do what God created him to do, in only a way that Bob can do it. He presented the message “Gospel in a positive spin” and it was received well among the pastors. The team is preparing for camping at Marantha on Monday and Tuesday night. The kids are anxious to stay at camp and have been waiting for this event for the last 3 weeks. Upon leaving for the hotel one child started crying. This reminded the team of how amazing, yet humbling these relationships they build are!

Wednesday November 25 Evening: The team is doing great! They made it through the two nights camping at Maranatha and were all ready for showers! The team is back in the hotel and will head to some other town (I couldn't understand the town name) for Thanksgiving tomorrow, and proceed to head back to Maranatha on Friday to say one last good-bye to the children. From there on Friday they'll head to Sam's and be on their way back to the states on Saturday. Happy Thanksgiving!
